Discover how YGRG members are turning policy ideas into legislative action.
We help students turn their policy ideas into action by guiding them through the lobbying process, from issue research and outreach to lawmakers. Our group connects like-minded Yale students with decision-makers, trains them in effective advocacy, and supports lobbying projects that reflect a commitment to bettering America, democratic values and the common good.
Students propose and develop their own lobbying initiatives with support from peers and alumni.
We equip members with the tools to advocate through workshops and coaching from alumni

Meet directly with congressional offices in Washington to present policy briefs and advocate for or against legislation.
Shape executive policymaking by drafting executive orders and advocating for or against White House initiatives.
From Capitol Hill to the White House, our members explore different areas of the legislative process. Whether it’s advocating for bills in Congress or drafting executive orders at the federal level, YGRG connects students to real-world policy work across institutions.
